CURRICULUM VITAE Christoffel Jacobus (Christo) Meyer, ARB RIBA
Christo Meyer ARB RIBA is a South African-born British architect and academic based in Singapore. Prior to joining NUS DoA, he was the Assistant Director for Academics and Fourth Year Coordinator at the International Program in Design and Architecture (INDA), Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok. A graduate of UFS, LSBU & The Bartlett School of Architecture, he has designed & delivered several award-winning & internationally published projects during his time in professional practice. As an experienced Academic & avowed Designer-Maker, he has also taught at the University of Central Lancashire, the University of Brighton, the University of Greenwich & The Bartlett School of Architecture UCL. Christo’s creative practice, teaching and research focus on design through making, using explorative and experimental models, devices, and drawings to develop narrative projects as a critique and response to cultural and spatial contexts. His projects have been exhibited at the RIBA, London Festival of Architecture, The Gopher Hole, and Bangkok Design Week. He has served on the INDA Academic Board (Dean-appointed) and the RIBA Council (Singapore Chapter 2018). Most recently, Christo was selected to present his ongoing research by design project, Fook Island [Revisited], at the AHRA 21st International Conference: Body Matters in the UK. Outside of practice and academia, Christo is a contributing editor.
